Andrea Gaunce

Andrea’s introduction to yoga came while searching to fill a void after retiring from a childhood of competitive dance. After trying a variety of movement and fitness classes, she happened upon yoga and it was love at first breath. Her initial intention was to use yoga solely for the purpose of physical exercise but after years of dedicated practice she has become a strong proponent of it’s ability to bring deep balance to both mind and body. Inspired by the YTT faculty of YogaSpace, Andrea devoted her practice to yoga philosophy, taking her practice beyond the mat and into all aspects of her life.. For Andrea, yoga has become so much more than just physical exercise. It’s her personal survival kit in a world filled with distractions. A teacher with extensive anatomy and biomechanics training, Andrea provides safe, accessible sequences that allow all individuals to modify and grow within their practice at their own pace. She emphasizes intelligent, thoughtful, functional movement throughout her unique contemporary Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga/Pilates Fusion classes.
