Shannon Kaneshige

Shannon (they/she) focuses on creating inclusive, accessible, and equitable spaces where folks feel empowered to take up space. They hold a MA in Sociology, focusing on Power and Privilege, from Roosevelt University and are a Graduate of the YogaSpace 200 hour YTT Program. Shannon has continued their studies with Dianne Bondy, Amber Karnes, and Jivana Heyman earning their Yoga for All and Accessible Yoga certifications.

Shannon also uses their 20+ year background in non-profit operations to help movement educators and creatives learn how to create equitable and sustainable businesses that aim to give more than they take.

They teach both the Accessibility and Inclusion and Business sections of the Yogaspace 200 hour YTT program.
Shannon Kaneshige (she/they) is a 200 RYT graduate of the Yogaspace YTT program. They are passionate about accessibility in yoga and helping students find asana variations for their bodies, allowing everyone the opportunity to look inward and focus on sensation. Shannon has completed Yoga For All training with Dianne Bondy and Amber Karnes and is currently completing Accessible Yoga training with Jivana Heyman.
