Advanced Philosophy

Yoga is variously defined as wholeness, balance, joining parts which have become disunited, the path and practice of discovering our true being. This course is very close to my heart, as it addresses the real reason so many of us stepped onto our yoga mats in the first place. We have a singular need, a primal one; to seek meaning in our lives, on all levels: physical, psychical, emotional and spiritual. When one of these aspects is given favor over another, we innately sense a growing feeling of unease, as if we have been thrown off balance.

This course will naturally progress from where our preliminary discoveries left off. We will start to see how Yoga philosophy can and does mean real application, using the dearest and most treasured of the yoga scriptures we have available to us today in our modern world as inspiration for this ongoing process of discovery.

This type of delving, is critical because it has a unique way of enhancing and expanding the quality of our thinking, acting and being. It is what fuels our honest communication as Yoga Teachers within the community that we all share.

Dialogue and sharing are encouraged so that these scriptures may come alive precisely as they were intended… as tools for spiritual growth and learning.

Scriptures studied will be:
The Upanishads. (in greater depth and detail).
The Bhagavad Gita. (Chapters 7, 8, 9 and 14).
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (With great attention to paad’s 3 and 4).

Workshop and Pre-registered Class Refund Policy
Payment is due upon registration to secure your spot. Once payment has been made, refunds may occur up until 48 hours prior to the start date of the workshop or pre-registered series. No refunds or exchanges will be given within the final 48 hours before a workshop or pre-registered series begins. Refunds or credits will not be given for missed sessions within a workshop or pre-registered class.

All fees are subject to HST and are in Canadian Dollars.
