Beeswax Candles
At YogaSpace we use beeswax tea lights instead of tea lights that contain the toxic petroleum byproduct paraffin. Why? Because beeswax tea lights contain no chemicals or toxins, and in fact release negative ions which help to clean the air, helping to eliminate dust, pollen, mould, smoke, airborne germs and bacteria. Our tea lights create a healthy, warm and inviting environment and they smell wonderful! Cheeky Bee beeswax tea lights are available for sale at the front desk.

Hand Dryers
We have recently switched from paper towels, to hand dryers. Why? To help us reduce waste by eliminating paper towels while promoting hygiene. We chose the Xlerator. This unique hand dryer cost us a little more but uses 80% less energy than regular hand dryers. The Xlerator hand dryer is Greenspec approved and helps facilities qualify for Leed Credits.

Farrow & Ball Paint
When it was time to repaint Yogaspace, we chose Farrow & Ball, one of the most environmentally friendly paints on the market. These clay based paints are not only deliciously gorgeous, they also contain no ammonia or formaldehyde, have minimal/low VOCs and contain only biocides that are safe and approved by the FDA. As well, Farrow & Ball’s environmental sensitivity can be seen in their sourcing of materials, energy use, wastage, packaging and distribution.

Water Filters
We recognize that plastic negatively impacts both the body and the environment. That’s why we are no longer selling water in plastic bottles at the studio. Instead, for your convenience, we have installed a large sink in both the mens and women’s change rooms with the Aquasana - 4000 water filter attached to both facets. Every six months Aquasana sends us our new filter cartridge so you never have to worry about us forgetting to change it. Now you can fill up your own water bottle free of charge.
