Even though yoga offers many health benefits, it can be intimidating for mature adults to begin regular classes. There is the inevitable comparison with younger, more flexible students, reticence to bring up physical concerns that brought you to yoga and a need to adjust postures to avoid injury.

Drawing on over 20 years of experience Patricia will guide students through basic yoga postures and adaptations that help students to move with greater ease and enjoyment.

We will explore:
- Common areas of tension and yoga postures that help undo holding patterns
- Movements that strengthen core muscles to help support the spine
- Weight-bearing postures for bone maintenance
- Improving balance
- Breathing and relaxation
