This course will focus on a more gentle, supported yoga practice for our students. 21 hours will be spent with Hali learning the principles of teaching this method, as well as a curriculum of classical postures adapted to suit the needs of those who require a more subtle approach to physical yoga. We will learn how the philosophical texts can be introduced to students as a way of bringing their physical experience in a pose to deeper levels of awareness.

Shellie Siadatan will teach 9 hours of functional anatomy as it relates to common injuries in the Axial and Appendicular skeleton, as well as touching upon Meridian theory which is an area of long-standing personal study for her.

Hali Schwartz has been practicing Hatha Yoga for 12 years as well as studying Yoga philosophy, Sanskrit and yogic chanting since 1988.
