This foundational course both covers and reviews the fundamental
principles of Vinyasa Yoga offering modifications for individual
needs. Each student will receive ample personal attention
as the group learns to put all the principles together providing
them with the skills and practice to go into Vinyasa classes
with confidence and ease. While this course is designed
for students new to Vinyasa, it also provides existing Vinyasa
students with the opportunity to more deeply comprehend,
refine and practice the fundamentals. Students are encouraged
to ask questions, discover and bring their problem area's.
Learn about, refine, and practice:
- Ujayi breath
- Sankrit names of the postures
- Bandhas, (the foundation of core strength)
- Drishti (gaze of the eyes in any given pose and in transitions)
- Chatarunga
- Transitions from pose to pose
- Postural function
- Postural alignment
- Modifications for individual needs and more.
